How to buy NWC on Uniswap
Our token is now also available on Uniswap, the world’s leading decentralized exchange (or DEX for short), so we decided to offer you a step-by-step guide on how to buy NWC straight from your Ethereum wallet.
In this guide, we will be using the MetaMask wallet - in case you're new to MetaMask, here is a step by step tutorial on how to set it up.
If you’ve never used Uniswap before, don’t be discouraged by the fact that it looks so different from centralized exchanges. Sure, trading on Uniswap is slightly more complicated than on a centralized exchange like KuCoin, but with our step-by-step guide, you’re sure to master it in no time!
Step 1: Add the NWC token to MetaMask
Open MetaMask and, in the Assets menu, click Add token. Then, click Custom token and copy and paste the NWC Ethereum contract address (0x968f6f898a6df937fc1859b323ac2f14643e3fed) into the field below.
Click Next and then Add tokens. Now, NWC will show up under your Assets in MetaMask.
Step 2: Open the Uniswap trading pair
Go here to find NWC/ETH trading pair. You will be prompted to connect your MetaMask wallet, which enables the app to see your public address.
If you see a warning telling you that the token was imported and you need to be careful, tick the “I understand” box and click Continue. This is why you need to make sure to only use the link provided in this guide or published on our official social media profiles.
Never use any other links, as they might lead to scam tokens that look like NWC, but are worthless.
Step 3: Input the amount of NWC you want to buy and swap
Simply write in the amout of NWC you want to buy, or the amount of ETH you want to spend. In either case, the other field will be filled in automatically according to the price of NWC.
Then, click Swap, and then Confirm Swap in the popup, if you have already swapped ETH on Uniswap.
If you haven’t swapped ETH for other tokens before, you will first have to click Approve ETH.
Step 4: Choose the gas fee and confirm
MetaMask will prompt you to confirm the transaction, either just the swap or first the Approve ETH transaction and then the swap. Choose the appropriate gas fee according to how quickly you need the transaction to be finalized and click Approve. The higher the gas fee, the quicker it will be (you can check the current gas fees here).
When the Approve ETH transaction is confirmed, you will get a pop-up informing you about this. Then, click Swap and, again, approve the transaction in MetaMask.
That’s it! When the swap is confirmed, you will have NWC in your MetaMask wallet.
